Hello Pastor Tony, I like what you've written here. I'm also interested in loosing and binding.

You said, "Many of us as Christians live fairly clean lives, however, the question is whether we are living this way because of what others think of us or rather due to a healthy fear of God."

I agree - we're talking about a want for approval here.

"At this point we can find ourselves in a place where we are so free from others opinions that what others think do not matter to us. At this point the only thing that will keep us in place is our fear of the Lord."

This is a great place to be, in my opinion. It's not so much our fear of the Lord that keeps us in place - I believe it is God's love working in our lives, that keeps us in place. We should allow that love to work freely - rather than trying to add something to it with our own minds - that is getting into the flesh, as far as I'm concerned.

"Most of the time we are trying to do the work that God has called us to with all of our old structures intact."

Exactly, that's living in the flesh. As soon as we let go of that - the Holy Spirit will be free to move in our lives. There should be no need to think, "Is my freedom becoming a stumbling block for others."

I would say: go with the flow of the Holy Spirit and don't worry about it.

"As we attain to greater and greater freedom, we will find that our love for God and his love for us, without the reverential awe of God can lead us to a place of ungodly liberty."

I don't think this is possible. God's love for us is all we need. It is when we hinder receiving that - that's when we get into trouble. Consider Gal. 2:20, 1 John 3:9, Phil. 2:13.

I think what you're doing is asking that question from Romans 6:15. "What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace?" Notice Paul's response to this.

God bless you Tony.
